Augmented reality adds digital information to the real world: a student points a tablet or phone at a worksheet or object and sees extra images, models or explanations appear over it. In ARELL we investigate how this makes learning more engaging and easier to understand.
Abstract concepts suddenly become visible and you can, as it were, walk around them. This makes subject matter more accessible and invites students to actively discover rather than just listen.
In doing so, the partners apply design thinking, so that lessons genuinely match what students need.
