SOML has joined as a partner in the Erasmus+ project VIRAL, a European collaboration focused on environmental and climate education in secondary schools. Under the coordination of the Low Carbon Economy Foundation from Spain, seven partners from Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands work together on education that encourages sustainable behaviour and climate action.
VIRAL is built on three pillars: awareness, cooperation and change. The project sees environmental education not as a standalone subject, but as a cross-curricular theme that can be woven throughout the whole school.
For SOML, taking part offers the chance to connect international experience and teaching materials with our own focus on sustainability in the classroom.
