Now that the kick-off is behind us, coordinator SOML and the partners are shaping the core of SPARK: connecting financial education with the sciences. The idea is as simple as it is powerful. Concepts such as compound interest, after all, can be explained surprisingly well as a scientific phenomenon.
For students aged 13 to 17, money thus stops being a separate topic and becomes part of logical and scientific thinking. This interdisciplinary perspective is the common thread throughout the whole project.
Over the coming months we will develop this vision into a concrete curriculum framework that matches practice in four countries.
