In the first project phase, the BAFOS partners worked on the transnational research into food waste. The result is a shared analysis methodology with which schools in five countries can look at this theme in the same way.
By comparing research data from the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Greece and Ireland, a clear picture emerges of where and why food is lost. Those insights form the basis for the teaching materials and the educational games developed afterwards.
In this way we ensure that the game rests firmly on facts and matches what students recognise in their own surroundings.
