With the kick-off of LearnSTEM, a European collaboration project is starting that aims to improve the quality of STEM education in secondary schools. SOML takes part through AGORA Niekée in Roermond and joins nine partners from six countries: the Netherlands, Lithuania, Italy, Germany, Portugal and Belgium.
The ambition is clear. We want to give students more interest and better skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, and so contribute to the European goal that fewer than fifteen per cent of young people score insufficiently on reading, mathematics and science.
Over the coming years we work on innovative pedagogy and free online teaching materials for teachers. We look forward to a fine collaboration.
