On Monday 5 October the second GREEN training week started in Roermond. Students and teachers from Croatia, Iceland, Portugal, Türkiye and the Netherlands came together at Wings Agora, with SOML as host. After the introductions, the international teams were formed that would spend the rest of the week on one assignment: build a system that monitors plants and waters them by itself.
The day ended at Botany B.V. at Brightlands Campus Greenport Venlo, where participants saw vertical farming in action: plants growing in stacked layers, under LED light and in a climate controlled to the degree. Exactly the world the teams would build their own small version of that week.
Watch the day 1 video (10 minutes), filmed by our Turkish partner İTÜ MTAL.
